i love lola too.
as i waited for the bus this morning i looked to the left and saw a “x loves x” note tagged on the green beam of the bus shelter and then another tag on the trash can. consequently i was left to think of the purpose of these marks.
i’m all for graffiti but graffiti with a somewhat social purpose since public/ or someone else’s private property is being used in efforts of realizing it. some where/ some time i read that graffiti is an expression rooted in the lack of owning property, which can make some sense. i feel that these people are trying to confirm an identity, even if its by forcing it on others. eh, all in all, if you’re going to tag some shit up make it meaningful. at least stop using the color of steel and use some funky magenta.
